Illinois House Votes in Favor of Gay Marriage
Illinois will be the 15th state to allow same-sex marriage.
The Illinois House of Representatives has voted to approve same-sex marriage, according to the Associated Press and various news agencies.
The House voted 61-54 Tuesday to allow same-sex couples to marry. The legislation goes to the Senate for minor changes, but the deal is virtually done.

Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns and St. Charles Mayor Ray Rogina were among seven area mayors to sign a letter endorsing the legislation.
