Who's Who of Applicants Throws Names in Hat for Kane Metra Board Rep

The list of folks who have applied to be Kane County's representative on the has grown to 41 as the final buzzer sounded for the application deadline Monday.

The list is a Who's Who of present and former public officials, and the decision of the candidate finalist will  be up to the blue-ribbon task force chaired by County Board Chairman Karen McConnaughay. Among the task force members is Geneva's own .

The trick for the task force subcommittee will be to find the candidate who is apolitical—or at least whose appointment will appear to come without any strings attached.
