Man Charged With Sept. 4 Judicial Center Bomb Threats
A Carpentersville man has been charged with making threats against Kane County court facilities.
A Carpentersville man has been charged with making threats against Kane County court facilities in early September.
Akiel W. Davis, 21, of the 100 block of Adobe Circle, Carpentersville, has been charged with three counts of disorderly conduct; two of the counts are Class 3 felonies and one count is a Class 4 felony.
According to the charging documents and law-enforcement authorities, the morning of Sept. 4, 2013, Davis allegedly called 911 and falsely stated that four bombs were concealed at the Kane County Judicial Center and allegedly called the Office of the Kane County Circuit Court Clerk and stated that many people in Kane County would die.

Davis appeared this morning in Kane County bond court. Associate Judge Christine Downs set Davis bail at $100,000 (10 percent to apply for bond) and set his next court appearance for 9 a.m. Oct. 3, 2013, in Courtroom 305 at the Kane County Judicial Center in front of Circuit Judge Susan Clancy Boles. Davis remains in custody at the Kane County jail.
