Geneva Church to Show Film Exploring Civil Disobedience and Climate Justice

The documentary “Bidder 70” will be shown at 7 p.m.
on Friday, August 16 at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva.
The church is located at 110 S. 2nd Street in downtown Geneva.

Winner
of more than 20 awards from film festivals, “Bidder 70” focuses on
economics student Tim DeChristopher, who committed an act of civil
disobedience in the name of climate justice, protecting 22,000 acres of
wilderness. Follow his story from college student to convicted felon.
Currently, Tim is a UU divinity student t Harvard.

The film is
part of the free monthly third-Friday Film programs which are sponsored
by the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Society of
Geneva. The public is encouraged to register at uusg.org/friday-flicks/
to receive email notices of future programs.
