Change The Story: The Compassion Experience

Want to travel the world but have no passport? No plane ticket? No problem! Compassion International is bringing its Change The Story event to First Baptist Church of Geneva (West Campus) from August 1-4. This free event will transport its visitor’s three continents in just under 30 minutes.

The Change The Story Compassion Experience is two trailers totaling 3,500 square foot that feature replicas of the homes of three Compassion beneficiaries who live in extreme poverty on three separate continents.  While touring the facility, visitors will fully experience the despair of poverty as they are immersed in littered streets and sounds of insecurity surrounding a closet-sized dwelling.

Created in a warehouse in Central City, Kentucky, Change The Story brings Americans as close as possible to the realities of over 1.3 million Compassion beneficiaries in 26 countries, whose households survive on less than $1 per day.  Change the Story will stop at over 35 towns and travel 65,000 miles of the United States in a year.
