Penrose Brewing Company Opens in Geneva

Belgian-inspired beer is on tap at the newly-opened Penrose Brewing Company at  509 Stevens St. near downtown Geneva and brewery tours are expected to be offered soon at the 14,500-square-foot facility, according to the Aurora News Beacon.

Eric Hobbs, 33, of Geneva, and Tom Korder, of Batavia, worked on the concept for Penrose Brewing for about three years before opening in mid-March and their beers are available in the Penrose taproom in Geneva and also for sale locally through a wholesaler, according to the article.

Beer is also available to take home in a growler, according to the Penrose Brewing Co. website.

Some of the beers brewed by Penrose include: Proto Gradus, a Belgian-inspired Single Ale; P-2, a Belgain-inspired Pale Ale; Navette, a Belgain-inspired black ale; and Devoir, a Saison Ale, according to Penrose's website.
