On the article Who Do You Endorse for Mayor: Kevin Burns or Bob McQuillan?

ReplyI'm sure that Bob is a fine person, however, his difficult manner and terse presentation of his opinions (not always based on accurate fact) is not going to move our city forward. It is my understanding that the mayor doesn't even vote on the budget. Kevin Burns has steered our city through the worst economic turbulence of our lifetime. The taxes are through the roof because of a referendum that was passed by 100 votes. If you think your Mayor is going to lower your taxes, you are mistaken. It is your aldermen, your school board. Bob is going to create a hostile environment and we know how that works. Just take a look at the federal government and how is that working? Kevin Burns has the manner, tone and tenor we need in our Mayor. Above all, everyone vote. It is going to be a close election.

ReplyKevin Burns is a facilitator. Our local government has gotten high marks because they are productive and can agree. I don't want a mayor that creates disagreement and negativity, so that nothing gets done. I've seen enough of that in our federal government. Tone and managerial style is so important.

ReplyMr. Bevans is a rock star at Geneva High School and will be sorely missed. My daughter is so thankful that she got to have him this last year before retirement. Also, our best to wonderful Mrs. Finatri. Enjoy your retirement and know that the Reinecke family appreciates all you have done.

ReplyGreat ideas from the Campbells. We would love to have a brick from the building as a keepsake. As a fundraiser, this might help cover the cost of the ideas suggested to memorialize the building.

ReplyYou are so wrong here folks. This is a warning to those of us that live around Rt 31 and have dogs. You obviously do not have a dog, or you would understand why this is news. This is news, it is heartbreaking news.

There will never be another Mr. Bevans. His classroom was dynamic, energetic and above all, our children learned to love Physics. He is the one and only, "Mr. Bevans" and he will be sorely missed.
