Thanks so much to these wonderful volunteers for mentoring the girls through the past three years. If they loved their Girl Scout years, I would love to encourage the girls to stay involved because they can have even more impact as they move through their high school years. We recently honored 102 high school Girl Scouts as recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award which is awarded after girls use their leadership skills and passion for community service to take action and provide sustaining impact on a community need whether it is local or global. Girls can set their next steps by seeking to join another nearby group of Girl Scouts who are meeting or by deciding to set their own path as individual members who participate when they want and how they want. There are lots of great options to explore and even more impact to make in the future. Congratulations, girls! We hope you continue to make a difference by staying in Girl Scouts throughout high school!
