ReplyThere are kids killed every year for carrying 'toy' guns that look so much like real ones that cops think they are about to get shot. Although this boy might not have realized that, he is lucky to be alive. And we are lucky to have careful police. Ok so after the police of two cities were called out and had to walk into some situation that they saw as being very dangerous - at least until the truth was known - the boy has to tell it to the judge. Perhaps it isn't the best outcome but it is by no means the worst either.

ReplyWhile I am sure there is much more going on than the general public is going to know, and while it is basically good that our legal system does not rush to conclusions, We have here a case - and it is by no means an unusual case - where the end result of our concerns for an individual's rights has left us with a known clear and large hazard on our public roads.

ReplyMore likely we are jumping to conclusions based on insufficient evidence. This is a poll of only 22, 25 sales. Average prices from that small a sample can fluctuate a lot.

ReplyI am a little suspicious at the ID of these animals as coyote, because both reports report more than one seen. They are typically solitary creatures.

ReplyRudy, Our government is running in the whole 40% a year. If you cancelled ALL Defense spending you would save 20% and let China control the Pacific. If you cancelled ALL Social Security you would save 20% and cause huge poverty levels. If you canceled ALL Medicare/aid you would save 23% and a lot of people would die. Simple fact is, this county, like all developed and developing nations, needs a government that costs a LOT more than you want to pay. There hasn't been a wealthy or prospering nation with a small (say 10% GDP) on planet Earth since 1950. It just don't exist. You may as well believe in unicorns.

I have known, directly or indirectly, of 3 people with DUI's that got their license suspended and then went ahead and drove around anyway; 2 of those 3 then crashing their cars yet again. Before changing a law, enforce a law.
