A 16-year-old from unincorporated St. Charles received two citations Monday after a three-car crash near South Elgin, police said. The boy and two other drivers were all sent to different hospitals with injuries following the crash, which occurred at the intersection of McDonald and Stevens roads in unincorporated Elgin. Kane County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the scene at about 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to a press release. The boy was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. His car collided with the crossover SUV of a 55-year-old woman from unincorporated Hampshire. Her vehicle, in turn, struck the car of a 21-year-old man from unincorporated Elgin. The intersection was closed…
