Geneva's unusual theft reports include an arrest at Plato's Closet and the theft of some farm-tilling equipement. Theft Under $500—Someone took two drag harrows from an area of a plant nursery near Continental Envelope, 1700 Averill Road, sometime between April 14 and April 21, Geneva police reports said. The plant grower explained that the property is owned by Continental Envelope, but he leases it to grow assorted plants. The drag harrowers—which are soil cultivation implements used to smooth the ground as well as loosen it, according to Wikipedia—were lying on the ground next to a hoop tent he’s put up on the property. Geneva police made a couple of theft arrests to start the new year, including the unusual cases of a stolen dog cage, Claire's earrings and $150 worth of Captain Morgan rum. All the incidents were in the area of Randall Road. Theft Under $500—Geneva police arrested Allen Schultze, 49, of Sugar Grove and Alan Wolter, 53, of Geneva on a charge of theft under $500 at about 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at a pet business called A New Dog, 2540 Kaneville Court, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Schultze and Wolter took a metal, portable dog cage valued at about $100.
