School Board Calls Special Meeting to Discuss Elementary School Boundaries
Geneva School District 304 is moving forward with plans to redraw boundaries for Geneva's elementary schools. Public discussion begins with a special meeting Saturday at the Coultrap facility.
In previous meetings, Geneva School Board members agreed that it's time to take another look at elementary school boundary lines, following "bubbles" of kindergarten and/or first-grade enrollment at Mill Creek Elementary School, Fabyan Elementary School and Williamsburg Elementary School. Back in June, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Craig Collins said enrollment projections showed class sizes at Mill Creek at 27 and 28 students. The School Board held a special meeting July 9 to discuss the enrollment issue.
