Gary R. Kluber was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman whose developmental disability has her functioning at a pre-adolescent level.
A St. Charles man and former Auroran has been sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled woman in the home of her boyfriend last June. Gary R. Kluber, 67, of the 100 block of South 10th Avenue, St. Charles, who pleaded guilty Feb. 2 to a Class 1 felony county of criminal sexual assault, was sentenced late Wednesday, April 3, 2013, by Circuit Judge John A. Barsanti, according to a release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. By Illinois law, Kluber must serve at least 85 percent of the eight-year sentence to the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to the release. At issue: With state and federal revenue sources shrinking, Show You Care Kane is seeking a referendum that would increase property taxes by about $83 for the owner of a $250,000 home.
