This week's potpourri of crime includes everything but the kitchen sink. From underage drinking to cannabis to an accident with injuries. Here's the lineup: Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor—Geneva police arrested Darian Romero, 19, of Montgomery on charges of speeding 56 mph in a 45 mph zone and Illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor after a traffic stop around 3:14 a.m. April 27 in the 900 block of South Randall Road, reports said. He also was given a warning notice for having an unlit left front headlight. The underage drinking citation carries a fine of $250 if paid by the due date. Batavia Traffic Stops Result in Arrests for Possession of Cannabis, Controlled Substance

Traffic stops in Batavia resulted in several arrests for cannabis possession, driving under the influence and violations of the Controlled Substances Act. Traffic Arrest, Controlled Substance, DUI—Nicholas R. Neubauer, 29, of Batavia was cited for improper lane usage, driving without lights when required, possession of a controlled substance and DUI after a traffic stop at around 2:12 a.m. March 29 at 336 E. Wilson St., reports said. Neubauer was unable to post bond and was transported to the Kane County Jail for bond call. A passenger, Bradley J. Smith, 27, of Aurora was cited for letting a subject under the influence of drugs/alcohol drive a motor vehicle. Neubauer was released and has a court date of April 16. Traffic Arrest, Cannabis—…

Wayne Man Arrested for Delivering Marijuana Near St. Charles School

Troy S. Defilippis, 18, of the 4N800 block of Honey Hill Circle, Wayne, was charged at 2:34 p.m. Jan. 17 at the St. Charles Police Department, 211 N. Riverside Ave., with possession of cannabis, between 2.5 and 10 grams; cannabis delivery at a school, between 2.5 and 10 grams; possession of a controlled substance; delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Here's a roundup of January alcohol- or cannabis-related arrests, plus an unusual criminal trespass arrest, as reported in the Geneva police botter. Public Intoxication, Criminal Damage to Property Under $300—Someone pried open the trunk of a Chrysler Sebring sometime between noon Jan. 3 and 11:30 a.m. Jan. 4, reports said. The owner told police he observed the trunk to be slightly ajar when he left the Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road, at around 11:30 a.m. Jan. 4, but he was unsure whether the damage occurred there. No items were missing from the trunk. The cost of repairing the damage was unknown at the time the report was filed. Cannabis Arrests: One for More than 30 Grams, Another Goes With Criminal Damage Charge

Two cannabis arrests in the Geneva police blotter are unusual, for completely different reasons. One involved a higher quanity, the other was almost incidental to the breaking of a bar window. Violation of Cannabis Control Act—Geneva police arrested James Thrasher, 28, of Geneva on charges of delivery of more than 30 and less than 500 grams of cannabis, possession of the same amount of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia  around 2:50 p.m. Nov. 30 at a residence in the 900 block of Manchester Course, reports said. No narrative was included in the police report. Here's a roundup of marijuana-related arrests from Geneva police reports. DUI, Cannabis—Geneva police arrested Robert Lyons, 21, of Geneva on charges of driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level of more than .08, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at around 3:45 a.m. Nov. 2 in a parking lot in the 1800 block of South Randall Road, reports said. According to the complaint on the 16th Circuit Court, Lyons had a blue glass smoking pipe and less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis. Traffic Stop, Results in Marijuana Arrest

A traffic stop resutled in a speeding ticket and two marijuana-related charges for a Wasco man last week. Geneva police arrested Anthony Arturi, 20, on charges of possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at around 12:35 a.m. Aug. 23 after a traffic stop in the 400 block of West State Street, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th District Judicial Court, Arturi had 1.1 grams of a substance containing cannabis and a glass smoking pipe. He was also given a warning notice for driving 38 mph in a 25 mph zone. Arturi is scheduled to appear Sept. 13 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Geneva Police Break Up Reported Downtown Geneva Drug Deal; 18-Year-Old Arrested, Charged

An eyewitness report of a possible drug deal going down in a downtown Geneva parking lot led to the arrest of a Geneva 18-year-old on charges of delivering almost 54 grams of marijuana. Geneva police arrested Thomas Sulek, 18, of Geneva on charges possession and delivery of cannabis in an amount greater than 30 grams and less than 500 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia around 4:53 p.m. July 19 in the parking lot of a business at 629 W. State St., Geneva police reports said. Officers responded to the parking lot after a report from a witness that a possible drug sale was taking place. The witness described two vehicles, a black two-door sports coupe and a black Honda CRV, gave the license plate numbers and described one subject as …

A Geneva man stopped while driving through downtown Geneva in the wee hours of Saturday morning now faces charges of marijuana possession and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Geneva police arrested Thomas Roake, 26, of Geneva on charges of possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and DUI with a blood-alcohol level of more than .08 after a traffic stop around 2:10 a.m. June 23 in the 500 block of West State Street, Geneva police reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Roake "knowingly possessed a blue-colored glass smoking pipe" and had in his possession more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of marijuana. Geneva Police Arrest St. Charles Man for Major Traffic DUI, Marijuana Possession

Geneva police arrested Andrew Fuhrmann, 43, of St. Charles for DUI alcohol, possession of between 2.5 and 10 grams of cannabis, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Peyton Street around 11:43 p.m. Nov. 3, reports said. Reports said Fuhrmann had 7.5 ounces of a substance containing cannabis.
