Randy Hultgren said people only need to look at the fiscal state of Illinois to see where the fiscal policies of President Barack Obama will lead the country. “The bottom line is we have seen in Illinois exactly what the outcome of the Obama era policies are. We’ve seen first-hand as the state has increased taxes, increased spending…. And lost jobs. The state continues to come apart at the seams. St. Charles man’s speeding stop turns into DUI arrest as well in Kendall County.
Monday night’s arrest of a St. Charles man in Kendall County brings one more proof to the truth of the expresion, one thing leads to another. James D. Peters, 50, of the 6N200 block of Woodland Drive, was driving on Route 71 near Legion Road, southwest of Yorkville, when a Kendall County sheriff’s deputy clocked him driving 104 mph in a 55 mph zone about 10:27 p.m. Although the report lacked details, it did state that Peters’ arrest on a charge of speeding was followed with a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Reinboldt Krause, age 82 of Geneva, formerly of Yorkville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at The Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. She was born on June 18, 1930 in Yorkville, the daughter of Joseph Carl and Frances (Wright) Reinboldt. Lydia was united in marriage on Nov. 22, 1963 to Mr. John A. Krause and they spent the next 22 years together until his passing in 1985. Mrs. Krause was a second-grade school teacher with the Schneider Elementary School in North Aurora. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening and traveling, but spending time with her family was the most important part of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be …

U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-14th District, will host a forum on family health care and finances Monday, Aug. 20, at Pheasant Run in St. Charles, his office announced Wednesday. Later Monday night, he plans to host a Congressional Town Hall in Yorkville. According to a release, the St. Charles event runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., and will feature panelists on a variety of issues chosen via mail responses by constituents, including college savings, understanding your credit report and caring for elderly parents who are eligible for Medicare. Adam Zbrozek, principal of Richmond Intermediate School, is leaving St. Charles Consolidated Unit School District 303 to assume the position of principal at Yorkville Middle School in Yorkville District 115. Zbrozek, a Yorkville resident, has served in administrative roles in District 303 for seven years, including assistant principal of Haines Middle School and principal of Lincoln School. According to a District 115 press release Zbrozek has spearheaded the development of a dual language program in his current position at Richmond Intermediate School, which features Spanish and French, as well as implementing a one to one technology program utilizing iPads for all students.
