A wind advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. this Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service. A wind advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph or gusts between 45 and 57 mph are likely. The following advisory was released at 2:46 p.m. Sunday: "Southwest winds will continue at 25 to 35 mph with occasional gusts up to 45 mph this afternoon. A cold front will push across the area late this afternoon and early this evening, turning the winds out of the west. The National Weather Service has a wind advisory in place, and it's supposed to get into the 90s, so here's a little advice on how to stay cool. There's a good chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night and later in the week.
The National Weather Service for the Geneva area has issued a Wind Advisory and Hazardous Weather Outlook, forecasting blustery and hot conditions for the next few days. The NWS-Chicago says there's a chance of thunderstorms at the back end of the week. According to the NWS-Chicago, we're looking at highs of 94, 95 and 91 for Monday through Wednesday. Gusts up to 45 mph expected, so be careful driving!
The National Weather Services says Kane County is in for a very blustery—and potentially dangerous—night due to extremely high winds. The Wind Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday. "WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE THIS EVENING... WITH STRONG WINDS LIKELY THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD AND LINGERING THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING," the NWS Chicago says. "WINDS ...
