Geneva High School students of the month.
Geneva High School has many outstanding students. Here are the Students of the Month for April 2013. Elise Watson, Grade 12 Nominated by Sophia Michelak For my student of the month, I chose Elise Watson. I have had the honor and joy of being Elise’s P.E. teachers for the last four semesters. Elise brings this unbelievable positive energy to class every day which makes my job that much more enjoyable. She is hard working, enthusiastic and creative in my class. She is very easy to work with and gets along well with all students. Elise will truly be missed next year and my class will not be the same without her. Good luck in all you that you do, Elise! Geneva School District 304 Students of the Month for February 2013 and motivated, honest, caring, smart, eager to learn and a blessing to have in the classroom. Anthony Galizia III, Grade 9 Nominated by Logan Evangelista I chose to nominate Anthony Galizia as student of the month because he has shown great improvement over the year. He has continued to grow in the Spanish classroom, despite having to miss a number of school days first semester. He always comes to class prepared, is always on task, and enjoys sharing his work in front of his peers. I have also had the opportunity to work with Anthony one on one. Our short meetings have shown me what a bright, honest, and caring individual Anthony is. I am so proud of what Anthony has …

Four freshmen are on the March 2012 GHS Students of the Month list. Check out other Patch stories this week on the seniors, junior and sophomores. Matt Loberg, Grade 9 Nominated by Jen Schwartz I am nominating Matt Loberg for the Mathematics Student of the Month because of his work ethic and positive attitude. Matt comes to class with a smile every day. He has a great sense of humor and makes the Algebra I class lively and fun. At the same time, Matt is a serious student who always comes to class prepared and actively participates in the lessons. He asks great questions and is always striving to understand. As the mathematics becomes more difficult second semester, some students can be discouraged. Matt just takes any setbacks in …

"Organized," "responsible," "smiling," "intelligent," "kind," "energetic," "inquisitive," "cheerful," "dedicated," "thoughtful" and "creative." The list of adjectives, all from their teachers, just begins to describe the GHS September students of the mont
Geneva High School's students of the month might or might not be the same kids you read about in the sports pages of the local newspapers, but they lead the league in the categories that that are most important. They are great kids who show not only academic excellence, but hard work, leadership and a wonderful attititude toward school and life. And that is worth celebrating. Rachel Spitzig, Grade 12 Nominated by Emma Williams Rachel is the Executive Board president for Student Council this year. In the few weeks I have had the pleasure of working with her, she has already impressed me on every level. She is extremely organized, thorough, and responsible.
