Aurelio’s in Geneva Opens on State Street

Owners say growing demand and desire to see families gather led to the expansion of Aurelio’s Geneva.

Today is a banner day for Aurelio’s Pizza franchise owners Kevin and Tracy Serra, who have expanded their successful carry-out and delivery to include a family dining room and bar to serve hungry patrons who can now dine at Aurelio’s for dinner, starting tonight.  To accommodate growing demand, the popular pizza establishment built on feeding Geneva’s families in their own dining rooms has moved from 17 N. Fourth St. to 330 W. State St. (across the street) to begin feeding families in the new Aurelio’s dining room—a 4,200 square foot, 160-seat, full-service restaurant.  To open the sit-down restaurant, the Serras totally renovated what used to be the Isabella’s Restaurant space. Police Blotter: Late-October Collisions Reported on Randall, Fargo and West State

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Warning tickets were issued in two of these accidents collected last week from Geneva Police Department reports. Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Hyundai Accent driven by Ethel Erickson, 76, of Sugar Grove collided with the passenger side of a Lexus ES350 driven by Arnold Anderson, 66, of Wayne around 11:21 a.m. Oct. 25 at the intersection of South Randall Road and Gleneagle Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and there was an injury or tow due to the crash. Erickson was issued a warning ticket for violating a traffic signal. Accident on Fargo Boulevard—The rear of a Nissan Altima driven by Joseph Casaccio, 62, of Wheaton collided with the rear of a Ford Explorer driven by Arthur Eichmann…

Car Hits Bicycle, Comes to Stop on Cyclist's Leg

A Dodge Intrepid driven by Timothy Lambert, 29, of Geneva, collided with the front of a Huffy Stone Mountain bicycle driven by Sherisse Holmes, 32, of Aurora around 7:17 p.m. June 15 at the intersection of Logan Avenue and West State Street, reports said. Lambert's Intrepid was stopped on Logan Avenue at West State Street waiting to make a right turn, and Holmes was travelling east on the sidewalk approaching the intersection, reports said. The Intrepid started forward as Holmes started into the crosswalk. Holmes fell off the bicycle and the Intrepid “came to a stop on her leg,” reports said. Lambert’s Intrepid “then backed up off of the rider, causing the bicycle to become entangled under (the Intrepid.)" Holmes was taken to Delnor …
