St. Charles police reports: Two people flee from Route 38 accident by running into a cornfield.
At least two people stole a Pontiac Grand Am from a St. Charles driveway, drove to Route 38 in Elburn, flipped over the car and escaped into a cornfield on Halloween night, according to St. Charles police reports. Elburn police responded to a rollover accident along Route 38 at 4:36 p.m. Oct. 31, when they spotted two people running away from the accident into a cornfield. Elburn police requested a K-9 unit, and St. Charles police assisted but were unable to locate any suspects.
