A visitation will be held Friday in Batavia for Robert Issel, 85, of Hot Springs Village, AR. Dan Issel's mother passed away on Jan. 15.
Robert Issel, the father of one of the Tri-Cities' greatest professional athletes and coaches, died Friday at the age of 85 and will be remembered in Batavia during a visition Friday, Nov. 30, and funeral service Saturday. Issel, formerly of Batavia, died peacefully on Nov. 23 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Hot Springs Village, AR. He was born, May 12, 1927, in Arlington Heights, IL, the son of John Issel and Minnie Thomas, and was united in marriage to Eleanor Meyer on Nov. 29, 1947. Issel was a member of Faith Lutheran Church (H.S.V. AR.) and long time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia.
