BURR RIDGE Someone at 9:50 p.m. March 29 reported a suspicious person walking a leash without a dog on the 100 block of Tower Drive. Upon arrival, police saw a male place a dog into his vehicle. There was no criminal activity, police said. CLARENDON HILLS A woman at 3:48 p.m. April 24 found two kids' target arrows in her back yard on the 300 block of Ridge Avenue. Police found that some children next door play "Harry Potter with bows/arrows," according to a police report. An officer spoke with parents at the children's address and advised them of the proper ordinances and supervising their children's safety. This is an ongoing issue between neighbors, the report said. ST. CHARLES Jason A. Gatewood, 38, of the 300 block of Michigan Avenue, Aurora, was cited at 5:47 p.m. April 14 at 48 N. 12th St., with disorderly conduct. Police received a report from that address that Gatewood was intoxicated and destroying property at a neighboring home. He was issued a notice to appear in court on June 20. DOWNERS GROVE A school resource officer and the Dean of Students at Downers Grove South High School spoke to a student at about 7:40 a.m. about an iPhone theft from the day before. "(The student) advised that he placed the phone on the shelf of the locker to change, and then turned away from his locker for only a minute and when he looked back, he noticed that his phone was missing," the officer said in his report. …

ST. CHARLES Joseph M. Montes, 22, of the 1400 block of Exeter Lane, South Elgin, was cited at 1:06 a.m. April 7 on the 1000 block of North 2nd Street (Route 31) with disorderly conduct-public drunkenness. The officer found Montes, with his T-shirt off and tucked in his pants, staggering in the middle of the roadway at Ferson Creek Park. The officer noted there is no illumination of Route 31 at that point and that Montes had placed himself in potentially significant danger. HINSDALE Police were dispatched at 7:22 p.m. April 7 to investigate a domestic situation in which a teen was being verbally abusive on the 900 block of South Monroe Street. NAPERVILLE A resident saw a teenage male on April 3 exit his vehicle and then hide a cannabis pipe behind a tree, police said. The teen was driving a silver four-door vehicle at the Ashbury Aquatic Center Parking lot in the 3400 block of Lawrence Drive. The pipe was collected and submitted to police evidence. A resident on March 31 reported that his house has been repeatedly toilet papered, egged and his windows sprayed with soapy water in the 2300 block of Wild Timothy Road, police said. ST. NAPERVILLE A woman reported being woke up March 17 by yelling and screaming in the 800 block of Spindletree Avenue, police said. She got up to investigate and heard a crash in her front yard. She looked out the window and saw her mailbox had been smashed. Once she went outside, she saw a person in the street screaming and swinging a "golf club like object," police said. Police then responded to the scene and arrested Andrew Charles Doerr, 22, at 5:18 a.m. near Spindletree Avenue and Fallbrook Drive, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct. DOWNERS GROVE A train ticket agent at 10:38 a.m. March 6 said that two people were involved in a loud argument lasting about five minutes that involved a 54-year-old man using vulgarity. The incident occurred at the Main Street train depot on the 1000 block of Burlington Avenue in front of numerous witnesses waiting for trains. A 78-year-old woman said she politely asked the man to quiet down and refrain from cursing as he spoke to other people. The man became angry and yelled, "You mind your own damn business and go away!" This is when the argument began. The man said he was sitting and talking to his friends when the woman yelled at him to quiet down in a disrespectful manner. CHARLES A 40-year-old resident of the 1000 block of Dean Street reported at 10:50 p.m. Feb. 27 that someone had poured bleach into her laundry in the basement of the apartment building where she lives. The clothes were ruined. The woman told police some tenants come into the basement to smoke cigarettes and marijuana and had been down there shortly after she started her laundry. DOWNERS GROVE A manager at a buffet-style restaurant on the 1400 block of 75th Street at about 8 p.m. Feb. 25 talked to police about a theft involving a man who keeps coming into the restaurant and eating without paying for food. BATAVIA A 20-year-old North Auroran and a 19-year-old Batavian were each issued complaints for unlawful consumption of an alcoholic liquor. An officer made the arrests at 2:12 a.m. on Feb. 21, according to a police report. Jason R. Leannah, of the first block of Grace Street, North Aurora, was speeding more than 40 mph over the limit. He posted his driver's license for bond for the speeding offense. Philip R.C. Vermaas, of the 800 block of North Forest Avenue, Batavia, was issued a notice to appear in court for failure to wear a seat belt, according to the police report.
