Batavia Mother Finds Daughter's Cocaine

Tri-Cities police reports: Mom seeks help for her daughter and is referred to Victims Services, part of the Association of Individual Development.

A Batavia police officer responded at 1:24 a.m. Nov. 23 to a residence on Chillem Drive at the request of a mother who found a plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance belonging to her daughter. The mother was concerned the substance may be cocaine. The mother confronted the daughter, who denied any knowledge of the substance. The daughter then left the home. The substance did field-test positive for cocaine, according to a police report. The cocaine was entered into evidence. The mother sought help for her daughter and was referred to Victims Services, part of the Aurora-based Association of Individual Development.
