An 89-year-old St. Charles woman that was reported missing Sunday morning was found in another state, according to media reports. Sara F. Mignin was in East Lansing, Mich. Monday afternoon asking for directions inside a Panda Express, the Daily Herald reports. Arrangements are being made to get Mignin back to Illinois, police spokesman Paul McCurtain told the Kane County Chronicle. Police began a missing adult investigation after Mignin was reported late for a visit with her daughter on Sunday morning. Authorities said she had no pressing health or cognitive issues. She recently seemed to have some forgetfulness. A couple at the East Lansing Panda Express heard her talking and she appeared to be confused, the Daily Herald's story said. …

Happy ending: A woman separated from her husband while shopping in our area is later found after a media alert is posted for the missing woman.
What had to be a scary situation for an elderly Aurora Township couple and their family had a happy ending Wednesday. The Kane County Sheriff's Office issued a release Wednesday saying that Doris O'Connor was reported missing after shopping "near Geneva" with her husband, Charles. Both suffer from some level of dementia, according to a Facebook post by NBC Chicago and a report on the Chicago Tribune website. The reports didn't say which Geneva-area store or shopping center the couple were visting, but the they somehow became separated, and Charles returned home without her. Aug. 23 Update: Tanner Conroyd was found in a Chicago-area hospital. Authorities in at least five jurisdictions from Chicago to Normal are searching for a 20-year-old resident of rural St. Charles who last was seen about noon Sunday, Aug. 19. Tanner Conroyd left her house on Route 31 in rural St Charles after an argument with family members, but authorities say her father believed she was heading to Illinois State University, where she was planning to attend the fall semester but had not yet enrolled.
