Geneva police arrested five 20-year-old men, cited two young women for underage drinking and arrested one of the men for possession of marijuana in an apparent New Year's party that got out of hand. The arrest took place at about 1:46 a.m. Jan. 1 at a private residence in the 1300 block of Miller Road, reports said. Police arrested Ryan Mallon, 20, of Geneva on charges of possession of marijuana greater than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams and an adult charge of illegal consumption of alcohol. Two cases of driving under the influence were collected in Geneva police reports last week. One traffic stop led to charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. DUI, Cannabis Possession—Geneva police arrested Ashley Bellm, 27, of Batavia on charges of driving under the influence, possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage around 12:21 a.m. Sept. 27 in the 2000 block of Kaneville Road, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Bellm possessed a multicolored glass smoking pipe and about 2 grams of marijuana. I wish Ms. Bellm a speedy and complete exoneration of her marijuana charges. Our nation was founded upon freedom of the individual. Each of our citizens was guaranteed the right to the pursuit of happiness...so long as he brings no harm to his fellow citizens or their property. When did this change? Geneva police arrested Ryan Deslauriers, 33, of Aurora on charges of possession of marijuana, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI alcohol and driving too fast for conditions after an accident Aug. 16 at 1900 block of South Kirk Road, Geneva police reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Judicial Court, Deslauriers had less than 2.5 grams of a substance containing marijuana. A Geneva man stopped while driving through downtown Geneva in the wee hours of Saturday morning now faces charges of marijuana possession and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Geneva police arrested Thomas Roake, 26, of Geneva on charges of possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and DUI with a blood-alcohol level of more than .08 after a traffic stop around 2:10 a.m. June 23 in the 500 block of West State Street, Geneva police reports said. A man and woman travelling in the same automobile face marijuana-related charges following a June 4 traffic stop in Geneva. Geneva police arrested Genesis Lindsay, 23, of Elmhurst on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license and possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and Lee Torne, 23, of Gilberts on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop around 12:58 a.m. June 4 in the 0-99 block of West State Street, Geneva police reports said.
