Man Dies After Being Hit By Pickup Truck in Southern Kane County
This is the third fatal car crash in Kane County over a 10-day period.
A 54-year-old Aurora man died after being struck by a pickup truck on Monday night in Southern Kane County, according to police. Dean Craig was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, which took place on Jericho Road between Dugan and Ashe roads in unincorporated Sugar Grove Township. The crash occurred at 7:40 p.m., the Kane County Sheriff's Office said. According to an initial investigation, a Toyota Tundra pickup was traveling east on Jericho Road when it struck a pedestrian, who was identified by police as Craig. He was walking east on Jericho Road at the time of the crash, the Sheriff's Office said. The driver and sole occupant of the truck was 25-year-old Joseph Morgan of Plano, according to police.
