Geneva Candidates Invited to Blog on Patch

For the political blogs prior to the April 9 election, we will screen comments and ask commenters to sign their full, real names.

Geneva Patch is inviting all candidates in the upcoming April 9 ballot to blog on Patch. And to encourage your participation in blogging prior to April 9, we'll offer to screen comments and allow only those from Patch users willing to sign their full name. To blog on Geneva Patch, all you need to do is hover the cursor over "Blogs" at the top of the home page, and click "Blog on Patch." You can also simply click on this link: http://geneva.patch.com/blog/apply. Blogging is a great opportunity for candidates to reach our large and continually-growing Geneva audience, without cost, and to talk about issues that are important to the community. You retain ownership of all your posts, so you can write original articles or just copy and paste …

Rick Thanks for offering this opportunity to all candidates in the April 9th election. It is a fantastic way for each candidate to get their correct message to all voters. Good luck to all candidates in the election and thanks for your willingness to run for local office. Here is hoping voter turnout reaches 40% instead of 20%!   more ›

Who Do You Endorse for Geneva 1st Ward Alderman?

Zac Ploppert or Mike Bruno? Here's your chance to make an endorsement for the candidate of your choice.

Who do you like in the April 9 1st Ward race: Zac Ploppert or Mike Bruno? Attached to this article is a Patch poll, where you can "vote" for your favorite candidate. In the comments field below, write your personal endorsement for your favorite candidate. There's no limit to the number of comments you can post, but we're going to ask that you post only the reasons you are voting for a candidate, not why you're voting against his opponent. On-site comments will need approval by the Geneva Patch editor. To qualify for on-site approval: If you have questions you would like to pose to either or both candidates, please feel free to ask them here. The same rules apply for on-site approval.
