St. Charles Man Charged After 15 Pounds of Cannabis Seized

A St. Charles man faces felony drug charges after Kane County sheriff’s officers and St. Charles police descended upon 216 Birch Ave., where they seized $15,000 in low-grade cannabis and $1,600 in cash. Frank Brunke, 39, is charged with possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver and possession of cannabis, according to Kane County Sheriff’s Lt. Pat Gengler, who said both counts are felonies. Gengler said detectives from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 216 Birch Ave., St Charles, where they seized the cannabis and cash. “We recovered about 15 pounds of low grade cannabis worth about $15,000. We also seized about $1,600 in cash,” Gengler said …
