Two drivers from out of town will find themselves at the Kane County Judicial Center in March after arrests from driving under the influence in Geneva. Here are the police reports: DUI—Geneva police arrested Sara Tobler, 32, of Chicago on charges of driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at around 10:33 p.m. Feb. 9 after a traffic stop in the 100 block of West State Street, reports said. Tobler posted $100 bond and has a court date of March 6 at the Kane County Judicial Center, reports said. DUI—Geneva police arrested Manuel Aceves, 44, of Aurora on charges of driving under the influence, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and having no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop at around 5:45 p.m. …
St. Charles police send a report to the Liquor Commission after a Beehive patron drives into a parked car with a blood-alochol content three times the legal limit.
St. Charles police have forwarded a report to the city Liquor Commission after a woman had an accident within minutes of leaving The Beehive Tavern, 204 W. Main St., early Friday. No one was hurt in the crash, but police said the woman’s blood-alcohol content was three times the legal limit. Police described the woman, whose blood-alcohol content was .248, as “extremely intoxicated,” and the report concludes that the tavern either overserved alcohol to the woman or allowed her to remain on the premises in an intoxicated state, both of which violate the city’s liquor code. St. Charles man’s speeding stop turns into DUI arrest as well in Kendall County.
Monday night’s arrest of a St. Charles man in Kendall County brings one more proof to the truth of the expresion, one thing leads to another. James D. Peters, 50, of the 6N200 block of Woodland Drive, was driving on Route 71 near Legion Road, southwest of Yorkville, when a Kendall County sheriff’s deputy clocked him driving 104 mph in a 55 mph zone about 10:27 p.m. Although the report lacked details, it did state that Peters’ arrest on a charge of speeding was followed with a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. An early-morning traffic stop led to multiple charges against a St. Charles woman, including marijuana possession, accoding to Geneva police reports. Geneva police arrested Carmen Lee, 38, of St. Charles on charges of driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of more than. .08, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis and improper lane usage at around 2:12 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 800 block of North Bennett Street, reports said. Geneva police arrested Frank Suda, 29, of St. Charles on charges of driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of more than .08, cannabis possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal transportation of alcohol after a traffic stop around 2:10 a.m. Oct. 19 in the 800 block of West State Street, reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Suda had .8 grams of marijuana in his possession as well as a multicolored glass smoking pipe. Two incidents of driving under the influence were reported in this week's collection from the Geneva Police Department. DUI, Obstructing Justice—Geneva police arrested Christopher Brown, 23, of Geneva on charges of obstructing justice, driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or more, battery, disobeying a stop or yield sign and disobeying a traffic control device after an incident around 2:24 a.m. Sept. 29 on a street in the 0-100 block of South Lincoln Avenue, reports said. I wish Ms. Bellm a speedy and complete exoneration of her marijuana charges. Our nation was founded upon freedom of the individual. Each of our citizens was guaranteed the right to the pursuit of happiness...so long as he brings no harm to his fellow citizens or their property. When did this change? Yet another young Geneva driver has been charged with DUI after driving his car off the road. Geneva police arrested Alex Zak, 21, of Geneva on charges of DUI and driving too fast for conditions after his Ford Fusion drove off the road and hit a tree at about 1:58 a.m. July 14 on Fargo Boulevard where it intersects Shoop Drive, reports said. According to police reports, Zak’s Fusion was traveling west on Fargo Boulevard when it began to turn left on Shoop Drive. The vehicle left the roadway, swerving diagonally from the corner, and struck a crabapple tree of a home on the corner lot of the intersection. Perhaps another issue is the immaturity of the patron for getting behind the wheel of a car. Patron's listed address is 100 block of south Third Street. Beehive is on 200 block of west Main St. This 22 year old could not walk a block and a half between listed address and Beehive.
