Domestic Battery Charges Follow Argument at Colonial Circle

Geneva police arrested Andrew Potter, 20, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and domestic battery insulting/provoking contact after an incident at around 2 a.m. Sept. 3 at a residence in the 300 block of Colonial Circle, reports said. Geneva police reported to Delnor Hospital to talk with the victim, who stated that she was trying to retrieve some personal belongings after a breakup, and an argument ensued. The victim said Potter began screaming, throwing furniture and shouting obscenities and threats. She said Potter approached her in the kitchen, grabbed her by the arms and threw her to the floor, causing her to twist her ankle and right knee and strike her head on the floor. Police Reports: Geneva Man Arrested on 2 Charges of Domestic Battery

Geneva police arrested Alexander Schenk, 25, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and domestic battery insulting/provoking contact after an incident around 12:25 a.m. Sept. 2 in an apartment in the 2100 block of Pepper Valley Drive, reports said. According to the synopsis sheet, Geneva police reported to the apartment in reference to a domestic battery. Upon arrival, police spoke to the victim, who said Schenk had returned from a local bar, and the couple began arguing. “During the course of the argument, Alexander grabbed her by the arms and began slamming her against a wall, causing a laceration to the top of her left head,” reports said. 18-Year-Old Genevan Charged With Domestic Battery, Underage Drinking

An 18-year-old Geneva woman has been charged with two counts of domestic battery after she reportedly punched her step-father in the face when he tried to give her a ride home. Geneva police arrested Jordan Matzen-Campize of Geneva on two charges of domestic battery and one charge of underage consumption of alcohol following an incident between 9:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Aug. 27, Geneva police reports said. Man Charged With Striking Girlfriend in Face and Taking Her Purse Returns to Court

Victor Torres faces charges of robbery, aggravated battery and criminal damage to property for assaulting his girlfriend in St. Charles. Similar charges against Torres filed in DuPage County were dropped after a witness declined to testify.

An Aurora man charged with robbery and aggravated battery in St. Charles returns to court today (April 25), nearly one year after being taken into custody. Victor Torres, 24, of 1521 Auburn Ave. was arrested in June 2011 after allegedly striking his former girlfriend in the face and taking her purse on June 9, reports state.  According to the police report, Torres’ former girlfriend returned to her home the 1900 block of Cumberland Green Drive, St. Charles, and found the windows of a friend's vehicle broken and Torres standing at her door, according to police reports. A Geneva woman is facing charges for physically attacking the man she lives with. Geneva police arrested Kimberly Smol, 58, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and domestic battery insulting/provoking contact after an incident around 5:40 p.m. April 2 in the 200 block of South Harrison Street, reports said. The victim told police he got home and became involved in an argument with Smol, at which time he “attempted to extract himself from the situation” by leaving. Smol then followed the victim out of the condominium and down the stairs, where she began striking the victim with her hands and ripping his shirt. Reports collected from the Geneva Police Department this week show a third domestic battery in a public setting. Two other reports published this week involved a domestic battery at a local pub after a dispute over car keys and charges against a Batavia woman for allegedly attacking her ex-boyfriend at his place of work. In the latest report, Geneva police arrested Anton McLean, 24, of Chicago on charges of domestic battery bodily harm and domestic battery insulting or provoking contact after an incident around 5:16 p.m. March 2 on the sidewalk near Geneva Family Pantry, 1409 East State St., reports said. Batavia Woman Charged for Punching Ex-Boyfriend at His Geneva Workplace

A Geneva restaurant employee was confronted by his ex-girlfriend at work, where she started slapping and punching him in the face after an argument, according to police reports. Geneva police arrested Saaira Hernandez, 19, of Batavia, on charges of domestic battery-bodily harm and domestic battery-insulting or provoking contact for an incident that took place at about 4:59 p.m. March 7 at Foxfire restaurant, 17 W. State St., reports said. A witness told police he saw a female punching a male subject. Struggle Over Car Keys Leads to Domestic Battery Charges

A struggle over car keys at a popular local pub resulted in charges of domestic battery leveled against a Geneva man, police reports said. Geneva police arrested Donald Foglia, 45, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm and domestic battery insulting or provoking contact after an incident around 1:38 a.m. March 2 at Old Towne Pub, 201 W. State St., reports said. According to reports, officers were called in reference to a fight and determined it was a domestic dispute between Foglia and his girlfriend. Police Reports: Geneva Man Spits in Victim's Face, Kicks Police Officer

A Geneva man arrested on domestic battery charges got another charge tacked on after he kicked a Geneva police officer in the abdomen. Geneva police arrested Victor Ajazi, 41, of Geneva around 7:20 p.m. Feb. 16 in a parking lot in the 0-100 block of Simpson Street on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and domestic battery insulting or provoking contact, reports said. He also was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer. According to police reports, Ajazi is the live-in boyfriend of the victim. Geneva Man Arrested for Domestic Battery After Choking the Victim

Geneva police arrested Herbert Heiss, 56, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery, insulting/provoking contact after an incident around 8:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, in the 1300 block of Windsor Court in Geneva. According to the reports, the victim was standing in the kitchen when Heiss placed an arm around her neck and choked her. There were no injuries, the report said.
