Geneva Parent Confronts Son Over Bong; Son Charged With Domestic Battery

Geneva police arrested Ryan Wheatley, 18, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery insulting or provoking contact, criminal damage to property, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor after an incident at around 5:30 p.m. March 8 at a residence in the 2200 block of Kings Court, reports said. Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at about 6:34 p.m. March 8, when relatives said Wheatley was “out of control,” according to the synopsis sheet. According to reports, the complainant walked into his son’s bedroom and found a water bong sitting by the dresser. UPDATE: North Aurora Man Turns Himself in After Allegedly Choking, Threatening to Kill His Wife

A North Aurora man who is the foster child of Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner has been charged with domestic battery and interference reporting a domestic battery after an incident Sunday in which police say he choked and threatened to kill his wife. North Aurora police reported to the 200 block of Magnolia Drive around 10:29 a.m. Sunday, March 3, for a report of a domestic dispute and spoke with a woman, who said her husband, Anthony J. Scotti, 35, had fled the scene in a vehicle after pushing her to the ground, choking her and threatening her life. Scotti later turned himself in to the North Aurora Police Department, police said, and was booked and charged with the following Class A misdemeanors: one count of domestic battery causing bodily …

Police Reports: Geneva Woman Taken to Hospital After Domestic Dispute

Geneva police arrested Arnold Meszaros, 48, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and domestic battery insulting/provoking contact following an incident at around 10:15 a.m. Jan. 20 in the 3100 block of Larrabee Drive, Geneva police reports said. According to the synopsis sheet, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute, and when they arrived at the residence, they found Meszaros and the victim at the front door. The victim was holding her right arm in place, saying it might be broken, and Meszaros had visible scratches to his right forearm. The victim told police Meszaros attacked her after she took his cell phone from him, saying he grabbed her right arm, twisted it and lifted her off the ground…

Geneva police arrested John Becht, 23, of Geneva on charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery bodily harm to a family member, domestic battery insulting/provoking contact, criminal damage to property and assault after an incident at around 6 a.m. Jan. 5 at a residence in the 1200 block of Herrington Road, Geneva police reports said. The victim told police he and Becht were involved in a verbal argument when the victim began to video Becht with his iPhone. Becht slapped the phone from the victim’s hand, and when the victim went to pickup the phone, Becht placed him in a two-handed choke hold. Geneva Man Charged With Domestic Battery, Violation of Order of Protection

Geneva police arrested James Schnaitman, 42, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and violation of order of protection after an incident around 5:05 p.m. Nov. 7 in the 800 block of Valley Lane, reports said. According to the synopsis sheet, police responded to a report of domestic battery, and when they arrived, they found a woman in the driveway screaming while Schnaitman was standing over her and three small children were on the residence’s front steps screaming that Schnaitman was going to kill their mother. The Geneva police blotter includes two reports of domestic battery. Domestic Battery—Geneva police arrested Karen Ortiz, 43, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery of an adult and a child following an incident at 11:21 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 500 block of Illinois Street, reports said. According to the Police Department synopsis sheet, officers responded to a domestic battery report and found a male adult victim restraining Ortiz by lying on top of her on the living room floor. The sister of a Batavia woman facing aggravated domestic battery charges claims her sibling was in harm's way and defending herself during Sunday's incident. Annette Romano said details initially released by police about a Nov. 4 disturbance at sister Diane Romano's house do not tell the whole story. According to Annette Romano, her sister's boyfriend was hitting her and would not stop. Annette Romano said her nephew tried to intervene in the situation between his mother and her boyfriend. Geneva police arrested Sean Fallon, 22, of Geneva on two charges of domestic battery, three charges of battery and one charge of criminal defacement of property following an incident at around 4:10 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 700 block of Parker Court, reports said. Geneva police arrested Richard Bologna, 49, of Geneva on charges of domestic batter bodily harm to a family member and insulting/provoking contact after an incident between 9 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. Sept. 18 in the 600 block of Illinois Street, reports said. According to reports, Bologna confronted the victim about her plans to leave for Florida the following morning. The victim told police Bologna swore at her and punched her one time in the mouth with a closed fist. Geneva Woman Arrested on Charges of Domestic Battery

Geneva police arrested Kimberly Smol, 58, of Geneva on charges of domestic battery bodily harm to a family member and domestic battery insulting/provoking contact after an incident at around 4:33 a.m. Sept. 9 at a condominium in the 200 block of South Harrison Street, reports said. The victim said he was consuming alcoholic beverages at a bar in Elburn, and when he came home, got into an argument with Smol. During the course of the argument, Smol struck the victim in the face and head multiple times with her hand, causing minor lacerations to the right side of his face.
