ST. CHARLES Jason A. Gatewood, 38, of the 300 block of Michigan Avenue, Aurora, was cited at 5:47 p.m. April 14 at 48 N. 12th St., with disorderly conduct. Police received a report from that address that Gatewood was intoxicated and destroying property at a neighboring home. He was issued a notice to appear in court on June 20. DOWNERS GROVE A school resource officer and the Dean of Students at Downers Grove South High School spoke to a student at about 7:40 a.m. about an iPhone theft from the day before. "(The student) advised that he placed the phone on the shelf of the locker to change, and then turned away from his locker for only a minute and when he looked back, he noticed that his phone was missing," the officer said in his report. …

DOWNERS GROVE A train ticket agent at 10:38 a.m. March 6 said that two people were involved in a loud argument lasting about five minutes that involved a 54-year-old man using vulgarity. The incident occurred at the Main Street train depot on the 1000 block of Burlington Avenue in front of numerous witnesses waiting for trains. A 78-year-old woman said she politely asked the man to quiet down and refrain from cursing as he spoke to other people. The man became angry and yelled, "You mind your own damn business and go away!" This is when the argument began. The man said he was sitting and talking to his friends when the woman yelled at him to quiet down in a disrespectful manner. BATAVIA A 20-year-old North Auroran and a 19-year-old Batavian were each issued complaints for unlawful consumption of an alcoholic liquor. An officer made the arrests at 2:12 a.m. on Feb. 21, according to a police report. Jason R. Leannah, of the first block of Grace Street, North Aurora, was speeding more than 40 mph over the limit. He posted his driver's license for bond for the speeding offense. Philip R.C. Vermaas, of the 800 block of North Forest Avenue, Batavia, was issued a notice to appear in court for failure to wear a seat belt, according to the police report. NAPERVILLE Someone on Feb. 21 received text messages from unknown numbers which read: "I SEE YOU" and "IM COMING FOR YOU," in the 1400 block of Culpepper Drive, police said. The messages were texted to the phone via Internet. Edvinas Korotkevic, 29, was arrested at 7:16 a.m. Feb. 18 at the Naperville Marriott in the 1800 block of North Naper Boulevard, police said. Korotkevic, a guest of the hotel, was allegedly drunk when he came down to the lobby and threatened to throw a smoothie in a clerk's face. A teen faces charges in connection to a hidden camera found in his neighbors' bedroom, North Aurora police announced Wednesday. The teen is 16 years old, male and lives in the 1100 block of Oak Crest Drive in North Aurora, according to police. The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the following charges against the juvenile suspect: The charges are Class A misdemeanors. The suspect is being prosecuted as a juvenile, so his name will not be released, a North Aurora police statement said. Police presented their case to the State's Attorney's Office after they completed their investigation into the incident, which was first reported on Nov. 17, 2012. Geneva police arrested Gary Michaelis, 65, of Geneva after a pair of incidents in which he destroyed articles at a Pepper Valley residence, including a ceramic duck. Police first arrested Michaelis on charges of disorderly conduct at around 2:04 a.m. Jan. 16 at the residence in the 2100 block of Pepper Valley Drive. It's bad news when someone calls 911 for no reason. And it's worse if a person purposefully sends police on an armed-robbery wild goose chase. Geneva police arrested Derrick Orr, 25, of Chicago on two charges of disorderly conduct, for a false 911 call and false police report, and criminal damage to state property at around 1:20 p.m. Jan. 9, Geneva police reports said. Geneva police arrested Chiragkumar Chavda, 39, of Streamwood on Dec. 27 for offering retail sale of fireworks at his business, the Family Pantry, 1409 E. State St., Geneva police reports said. According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Chavda violated Section 2, Act 35, Chapter 425 of the Illinois Complied Statutes for selling a quantity of fireworks not authorized in the Fireworks Act. The police continuation report says Geneva officers responded to a report of shots or fireworks fired in the area of Longview Drive and Hill Avenue around 2:35 p.m. Dec. 27. A man accused of inappropriately touching minor girls at Target stores in St. Charles and Wheaton appeared before a Kane County court Thursday. Nicholas Edward Muniz, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with three counts of battery and three counts of disorderly conduct. On May 13, St. Charles officers took Muniz into custody and charged him with two counts of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct for inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl at Super Target, 3885 E. Main St. On May 15, St. Charles police personnel talked with a new 13-year-old girl, who said she too had been inappropriately touched by Muniz in the St. Charles Target Store.
