Geneva's Spectacular Christmas Walk Weekend Friday Through Sunday!

If you've never attended a Christmas Walk in downtown Geneva, you've got to go. It is the best way to get into the holiday spirit—from chestnuts roasting on an open fire to crazy deals to wonderful friends. Here's the schedule!

It's a cliche, yes, but Christmas Walk in Geneva has never been better, and it tips off a 6 p.m. Friday in downtown Geneva. This truly is the must-see holiday event of the season. Great deals, stores full of clever, unique gifts, there are literally chestnuts roasting on open fires, the lighting of the Christmas tree, crowning of Santa Lucia, an attempt at the world's largest candy cane, carolers galore, actual live mannequins in the store window, carriage rides—wow. It's awesome. Then there's the House Tour and Steeple Walk on top of all that. We live in the town that is right out of a storybook. Roby Will Attempt 'World's Longest Candy Cane' at Geneva's Christmas Walk 2012

Guinness Book of World Records: Chef Alain Roby will attempt to make the 40-foot world's longest candy cane at Geneva Chamber of Commerce’s jam-packed Christmas Walk weekend.

Be prepared to hold your collective breath, Geneva, at 7 p.m. Dec. 8, during Geneva Chamber of Commerce’s  Christmas Walk weekend. That's because Geneva's very own world-renowned pastry guru, Chef Alain Roby of the All Chocolate Kitchen, will put the finishing touches on the “World’s Longest Candy Cane” in an attempt to obtain his third Guinness World Record. The candy cane will stretch 40 feet down Third Street, beginning at Third and Campbell and stretching to the intersection of Third and James. All are invited to join in and cheer Roby on as he pulls sugar down a full festive block of Geneva's Third Street. This holiday event is just one of many scheduled all weekend long, Dec. 7-9, as part of Geneva's annual holiday-season celebration…
