Two Teens Turn Themselves in for Garage Burglary

Robert V. Zambetti, 18, of Carol Stream and Steven A. Miller, 18, of West Chicago are charged with residential burglary.

Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with an August garage burglary, St. Charles police announced Thursday. A third suspect remains at large. Robert V. Zambetti, 18, of 1059 Big Eagle Trail in Carol Stream and Steven A. Miller, 18, of 353 Hemlock Lane in West Chicago both are charged with one count of felony residential burglary. On Aug. 16, two teenagers were seen running from the attached garage of a house in the 100 block of Foxwood Lane, according to police. The victim, who witnessed the alleged burglary and had called police, said she saw the teens holding items as they ran and climbed into a black Audi four-door sedan. Burglers Break In, Take 5 Food Coolers From Former Mill Race Inn

Police reports: While showing the building to a potential buyer, real estate broker finds that restaurant was burglarized.

Someone broke into the former Mill Race Inn, 4 E. State St., and took five large food coolers sometime between the middle of July and the middle of August, according to police reports. Geneva police responded to the report of a burglary to the former restaurant around 4:45 p.m. Sept. 1. Upon arrival, a real estate broker associate showed the officer where wood beams and the glass on one of the main doors had been broken. The main doors are double doors located on the southeast corner of the business. The top half of each door is glass and the southernmost door is the one that was damaged, reports said. When the officer and real-estate agent walked through the property, they discovered that five large coolers for storing food were missing. …

We assume they're different thieves and burglars who had an urge for PixieStix, patio furniture and a boy's bicycle, but who knows? Perhaps, the Shadow. Burglary—Someone apparently entered the front window of Suzie’s Snack Shack at the Geneva pool, 710 Western Ave., between 8 p.m. Aug. 4 and noon Aug. 5 and stole water, Gatorade and PixieStix with a total value of $47. Theft Under $500—Someone took two white metal “Winston” patio chairs with white-and-green-striped cushions  from the backyard deck of a home in the 500 block of North Cambridge Drive sometime prior to 2 p.m. Aug. 5, reports said. Burglary Victim Finds $7,500 Cash; DUI Arrest for St. Charles Woman

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary victim finds $7,500 cash A St. Charles man whose car was burglarized found a wad of money totaling $7,500 on his tennis court, according to police reports. The burglary reportedly happened sometime on the night of Aug. 3 or the morning of Aug. 4 in the 1300 block of Hampton Course Road. The owner, whose Cadillac was parked in his driveway, told police he found the contents of his car strewn about. The car keys and owner's manual were missing. The man also reportedly found the money near a post in the tennis court. He told police he thought, at first, that it was the missing manual.
