Batavia Man Charged With Burglary at Pottawatomie Golf Course in St. Charles

Arrest came during investigation of break-in to Pottawatomie Park Golf Course Club House.

A Batavia man is in custody on multiple burglary charges after police were called to investigate an alarm early Wednesday at the Pottawatomie Park Golf Course Club House, St. Charles police announced in a release issued the same afternoon. Taylor B. Erickson, 19, of 714 Walnut St., Batavia, was taken into custody at approximately 2 a.m. on two counts of burglary, a Class 2 felony; and one count of possession of burglary tools, a Class 4 felony. He was awaiting an initial court appearance to have bail set at the time the police department issued its release. St. Charles police were called to the clubhouse at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday, where the first officer to arrive found someone had broken into the building, cut a hole into the drywall, and …
