The arts are important in Batavia, St. Charles and Geneva. Which gallery do you think is the best?
One of the many things to be proud of in the Tri-Cities is each community's commitment to the arts. And gradually, through the years, we've been fortunate to attract a number of oustanding art galleries. Obviously, art is subjective. One man's Braque is not another man's Bellini. The same, perhaps, holds true with art galleries. It's hard to pick a favorite. But "you must, you must," as Gene Wilder said in the classic art film, Blazing Saddles. Nominations were accepted on Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles Patch through July 9. Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24. The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.
