Jogger on bike path on St. Charles’ South Side was accosted Friday afternoon, May 10, police said.
An unspecified reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who reportedly battered a woman jogging along a bike path in St. Charles. Police said the incident was reported at 9:57 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, after the 29-year-old victim reported that a man grabbed her buttock while she was running in the 1100 block of Geneva Road. The woman told police she was running north when the man, walking in the opposite direction, reached out and grabbed her. The woman told police she immediately stopped to confront the man, who ran off into the wooded area near the Park Shore Apartments. Geneva police arrested Nathan Bucy, 28, of Batavia on charges of battery insulting/provoking contact and disorderly contact after a series of incidents prior to 9:22 a.m. Monday Dec. 10 at a 507 S. Third St. business and “other places than those listed.” According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Bucy “lifted up (the victim’s) skirt approximately five inches above her belt and later placed his hand up her shoulder after being told by (the victim) that she does not like physical contact.” It states further than Bucy “entered a business after being told the business was not yet open, crumpled and dropped a cigarette onto the floor once inside” and made rude remarks to an employee. A 46-year-old Batavia man faces three charges in connection to an incident outside a gas station on Monday. Jeffrey S. Greer, 46, of the first block of North Batavia Avenue, was charged with vehicular invasion, robbery and battery. North Aurora police patrol officers responded to a disturbance involving Greer at about 8:40 a.m. Monday at Thornton's on the 400 block of South Lincolnway (Route 31). Upon arrival, officers learned that Greer approached a vehicle occupied by two females and asked for money. One of the females, who was seated in the passenger seat, refused. A man accused of inappropriately touching minor girls at Target stores in St. Charles and Wheaton appeared before a Kane County court Thursday. Nicholas Edward Muniz, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with three counts of battery and three counts of disorderly conduct. On May 13, St. Charles officers took Muniz into custody and charged him with two counts of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct for inappropriate contact with a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl at Super Target, 3885 E. Main St. On May 15, St. Charles police personnel talked with a new 13-year-old girl, who said she too had been inappropriately touched by Muniz in the St. Charles Target Store.
