A 32-year-old Glendale Heights man has been charged with armed robbery after his palm prints matched those found on property stolen from the victim during an armed robbery on West Main Street in May, St. Charles police said. Antwon D. Powell, of the 2100 block of Roland Drive, Glendale Heights, was taken into police custody without incident Tuesday night, Dec. 11, 2012, St. Charles police announced in a release issued late Thursday afternoon. He is charged with armed robbery with a firearm, a Class X felony. Powel's bail was set at $500,000 in court Wednesday at the Kane County Judicial Center. Police are in search of two suspects who robbed an employee at gunpoint outside of a St. Charles restaurant Friday night. An employee of Rookies Restaurant, 1545 W. Main St., St. Charles, attempted to enter his vehicle after he closed down the restaurant, according to police. He was approached by two black males who demanded money and car keys. At least one of the men was armed with a pistol, according to police. During the robbery one of the suspects struck the victim in the face with his fist. The two suspects were wearing dark clothing and had their faces concealed, police said. The offenders were last seen running southeast through the parking lot from the scene.
