$16K Bail Set For Batavia Teen Accused of Throwing Drinking Parties

Andrew Pederson, 19, remains in the Kane County Jail following two incidents at the east-side home where he lives.

A Kane County judge on Monday set bail for a 19-year-old Batavia man following two police-reported underage drinking parties at his house. Andrew P. Pederson is being held on $16,500 bail, according to county court records. Nine Genevans were among the under-21 partygoers who were cited in the Saturday incident. To apply for bond and be released, Hayes or someone else needs to pay 10 percent of the bail, or $1,650. A separate $46 bond fee must also be paid. Batavia Police on Saturday and Sunday reported to Pederson's residence on the 800 block of Pottawatomie Trail for underage drinking parties. Pederson faces five charges from the Sunday incident, including a felony charge for criminal damage to government-supported property. Pederson …
