The gourmet pastry and gelato shop is the brainchild of Alain Roby, a certified master chef of pastry and sugar artistry.
Its initials may be ACK, there’s nothing ack about Geneva’s All Chocolate Kitchen. Instead, patrons to the Third Street store will find nothing but deliciousness, including hand-made gelatos and sorbets, pastries, cakes, grand cru chocolates, other desserts and coffee and tea. Two unusual thefts are reported in December's blotter from the Geneva Police Department.
Theft reports in Geneva can range from the serious to the bizarre and often include a little of both. Such is the case with this recent collection from the Geneva Police Department. Theft Under $500—Someone stole a parking sign from the parking lot spot reserved for the All Chocolate Kitchen in parking lot located in the 200 block of James Street sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 12 The reserved parking stalls are on the southwest corner of the parking lot. One sign was removed from a metal post, which read “Chef Roby Parking Only.” Theft Over $300—Someone took two “Gailbreath” PM6FS 400-volt air compressors from the Geneva Commons management office, 602 Commons Drive, sometime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Dec. 10, reports said. …

The All Chocolate Kitchen's Alain Roby has done it again, setting the Guinness World Record for "World's Longest Sugar Cane."
Chef Alain Roby of Geneva's All Chocolate Kitchen set the Guinness World Record for "World's Longest Sugar Cane" Saturday in downtown Geneva, IL. Roby's sugar cane creation stretched 51 feet when all was said and done, shattering the previous world record of 38 feet, according to an article in the Kane County Chronicle. Roby's 51-foot feat is his third Guinness record, the previous being his 12-foot-10 "World's Tallest Cooked Sugar Building" and 20-foot-8 "World's Tallest Chocolate Sculpture," according to the All Chocolate Kitchen website. Several Geneva downtown businesses are spreading their wings—and business at The Little Traveler is going great guns, thank you very much. Business owner Mike Simon said last week that the All Chocolate Kitchen would be expanding into the Mossy Twig space. Beaute by Sylvie now has a sister business, C'est la Vie by Sylvie. When we asked for nominations for the best fall treat in Geneva, we received some wonderful suggestions in the comment field. Two of the entries were the clear winners with multiple votes, and they both happen to be gelatos!
