OK, Carnak the Magnificent we're not. But we DO know that you'll find—to paraphrase the Ed McMahon intro—EVERYTHING YOU'VE EVER WANTED TO KNOW about gardening right here in Geneva, IL, this weekend.

Its mission: To provide quality sources of information about horticulture, wildlife, and useful and decorative products to encourage the public to garden for the cultural and aesthetic enrichment of their own lives, homes, and community. 

Geneva's Gardenology Festival will be held rain or shine on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18, 2013, in downtown Geneva—from the Kane County Courthouse down to the Metra Train Station.  

Gardenology advisers and vendors will bring their best ideas and garden related products to jump-start your gardening season. Experts in every horticulture field including farming, landscape design, weavers, local nurseries, and more will be on hand to answer your questions.

Topics include herbs, flowers, vegetables, heirloom plants and perennials.  Learn about attracting birds and butterflies, wildlife control, composting, organic fertilizers and more.

The speaker’s tent for the fifth annual event will be located on the lawn of Geneva Lutheran Church, 301 S. Third St., where 14 different presentations be held throughout the day. Topics range from landscape design and pond construction to photographing nature spirits and making hummus.

More than 50 experts will be on hand to answer your questions and offer advice. Plants and accessories will be available for purchase.
