The Week Ahead: Scarecrow Fest Next Door
Children and adults will find plenty to do all weekend long, including live entertainment, a huge arts and crafts show, carnival and petting zoo.
The big event of the week ahead probably is the Scarecrow Fest in neighbor St. Charles.
This is the St. Charles festival of the year, and it draws people from all over the area, even from out of state.

The heart of the festival is the Scarecrow Contest, which boasts 150+ hand-crafted scarecrows. Visitors view and vote for their favorite in each of six categories. But children and adults will find plenty to do all weekend long, including live entertainment, a huge arts and crafts show, carnival, and petting zoo, plenty of food and a lot more.
