Repair of Kirk Road Bridge Over UP Railway Starts Oct. 14

Expect delays. Work is expected to be complete by Friday, Nov. 1, weather permitting.

The Kane County Division of Transportation announced repairs on the Kirk Road bridge over Union Pacific Railroad tracks will begin Monday, Oct. 14 and is anticipated to be complete by Friday, Nov. 1, weather permitting.

This work will involve concrete deck patching at various areas on the bridge deck. Kirk Road will be reduced to one lane of traffic during construction.

The county asks that you pay attention to the new lane configurations and watch for equipment and workers entering and leaving the work zone. The work could cause traffic delays and increased travel times.
