Lions Club Kicks Off 'Chance for Sight' Raffle

Winner will be announced at Homecoming football game Oct. 7.

The Geneva Lions Club his kicked off its annual Chance for Sight Raffle.

The first-prize ticket will pay $5,000 in cash and a total of 20 cash prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100. Only 1,500 tickets will be sold.

This year’s drawing will be held for the first time at the Geneva High School Homecoming football game. The game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7. Assisting inthe drawing will be members of the Geneva High School Leo Club.

Chance for Sight is a major annual fundraiser for the Geneva Lions. All proceeds go to the Geneva Lions Foundation, which is responsible for distributing it to various charitable causes. Among those benefiting will be the Lion’s local eye glass program, which provides eye exams and glasses for those in the community who cannot afford them.

Additionally, support is provided to Spectrios Institute for Visual Rehabilitation, CampLions, Ski for Sight, the American Diabetes Association, and many other local charities.
