Ex-Bear Donnell Woolford Joins Batavia Moose

Retired Chicago Bear to meet with Mooseheart Red Ramblers football team at noon Sunday, Oct. 16.

Retired Chicago Bears Cornerback Donnell Woolford will meet with the Mooseheart Red Ramblers football team Sunday and share his insights as a professional athlete on team-building.

Woolford will sit down for lunch with the Mooseheart student-athletes immediately following the ceremony where he is officially enrolled as a member of the Moose fraternal organization, at Batavia Lodge No. 682. Mooseheart is a residential community and school for children whose families are unable to care for them.

Woolford is committed to numerous causes—prominent among which is finding a cure for pediatric brain cancer, through his support of the Max Lacewell Foundation, an organization established to raise awareness of pediatric brain tumors. Max's parents, Dave and LeAnne Lacewell, will be on hand at the Moose Lodge, as well.

The meeting will take place at noon Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Batavia Moose Lodge, 1535 South Batavia Ave., Batavia.
