60 Men Cooked and Hundreds Enjoyed

Appetizer, sides, entrees, desserts: OH MY!

Men proved they most certainly can cook at 60 Men Who Cook, a fundraiser on May 6 presented by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce to benefit the r, and . Sixty local celebrity chefs volunteered their time and talent to create their favorite appetizer, side, entrée and dessert for the community.

In its third year, approximately 1,000 attendees tasted the samples and voted for a “Peoples' Choice Award” in each of the four categories.

  • Best Dessert – Tim Sullivan, Publisher Neighbors Publications (Neighbors Nookies)
  • Best Entrée – Brian Rovik, Chef Tom & Eddies (Blue Chip Burger)
  • Best Side – Larry Olesky, Manager Cabooses Bar & Grill (Cheese Cannelloni)
  • Best Appetizer – Josh Downing, Executive Chef Fiora’s Restaurant (House Smoked Sockeye Salmon). Accepting for Josh is Nancy Curtis, Wine Specialist at Fiora’s Restaurant. 

To inspire creativity in the chefs, not only in their cooking, but also in their decorating, a Best of Show award was presented.  For the second year in a row, Pat Hofstetter, owner of CPR Printing, takes home the prize. Pat raised the bar by decorating his cooking area AND decorating himself. His take on singer Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light was perfect! Guess what food he was serving: Of course, it was meatloaf.
