Traffic Signal Work At Wilson Street And Batavia Avenue
There is plenty of good work going on in Batavia's downtown area.
If you happen to see a big hole at the intersection of Wilson Street and Batavia Avenue, it is because workers are putting in traffic signals and lighting, the city of Batavia reports.
The contractor will continue working on underground materials needed for the new traffic signals, including holing for existing utilities, directional boring, open trenching for the conduit work and installing foundations, according to the city of Batavia newsletter.
During this work, there will be intermittent sidewalk closures in place with appropriate sidewalk closed signs and sidewalk detour signs for pedestrian access to the area.
Daytime work this coming week is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 5, through Friday, Aug. 9.
