A commuter about to leave Chicago for Geneva on the Metra West Line reports that officials have announced a delay of an hour, 15 minutes.

An earlier Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been upgraded to a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for northern Kane County as of 4:46 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Hail and 70 mph winds are expected.
