Self-Guided Walking Tours of Historic Geneva

Take a walk this summer and learn about Geneva's unique history.

The Geneva History Center now has Self-Guided Walking Tours of the Downtown Historic District available for $2 each.  The booklet guides the walker to 25 different historic buildings and homes around town and provides a bit of information about each location.

The walk takes about 45 minutes and starts at the Geneva History Center including the area from First Street to Fifth Street in the Central Historic District.  Best part is that you can go at your own pace and time.

Coming soon - a mobile app tour that anyone can access from their smartphone or tablet!

For all of its remarkable growth and change, we believe much of Geneva today would be recognized by its earliest residents.  Our ethic of historic preservation is evident in the historic homes, businesses and buildings that still grace our tree-lined streets and scenic river front.

Belong to Geneva's Story and support our independent non-profit museum and educational center.  GHC is open Tuesdays thru Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 113 S. Third Street, directly across from the Kane County Courthouse.
