Terry Emma: Geneva Lions Club Raffle Tickets Available

Why am I writing on behalf of Lions Club? As of June, I am a proud member of The International Association of Lions Clubs. Not only have my predecessors at the history center been members but the Geneva Lions Club has supported the Geneva History Center each year with a portion of their fundraising efforts.

So when history center board member Clyde Jones asked me to join them for lunch one Monday, I gladly accepted.

The Geneva Lions Club is selling Chance For Sight Raffle Tickets for $25 each or 5 for $100. There are only 1,500 tickets with 20 cash prizes offering a 1-in-75 chance to win. Even better odds if you purchase five tickets! The drawing will be held at the Geneva High School Homecoming football game on Friday, Oct. 7. 

Tickets can be purchased from any Geneva Lions Club Member, from Lion Secretary John Christensen at State Street Jewelers, 214 W. State St., or by check, mailed to Geneva Lions Club, PO Box 382, Geneva, IL 60134. Of course I would like to sell all my tickets so stop in here at the history center or contact me at exec_dir@genevahistorycenter.org or 630-232-4951—and I'll even deliver!

Your raffle ticket purchase helps support the Geneva Lions Club's primary purpose to benefit people who suffer from sight or hearing disabilities as well as support for many local organizations such as the Geneva History Center. I am pleased to be a member of such a great group of people in an organization that does so much for the community.
