Mary Dolan is the new Museum Educator at The Geneva History Center

The Geneva History Center is pleased to introduce Mary Dolan as the new Museum Educator. Mary's background includes museum studies with Garfield Farm and Inn Museum, LaFox, IL, teaching English in Madagascar and interning for museums such as Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth, NH, and the Chicago History Museum.  With this vast experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Minor in French, magna cum laude from Whitman College, Walla Walla, WA, Mary will be a wonderful asset to the Geneva History Center team.

"I am enthusiastic to be working at the Geneva History Center and to continue existing and creating new educational programs," said Mary. "I look forward to working with the dedicated staff and volunteers to help preserve Geneva's history."

Mary will begin by contacting the Geneva School District Curriculum Director and teachers to renew and update educational opportunities for students as well as continue the planned adult schedule such as the Brown Bag lunch series, GHC Presents portrayals and exhibition programs.

"The Geneva History Center is very fortunate to have received so many resumes from a vast group of talented people," added Executive Director, Terry Emma.  "Mary has accomplished so much at her young age which along with her energy and ideas will bring new life to our educational programming. We are delighted she was interested in the position and are very excited to work with her."

Mary will work part-time and can be reached at the Geneva History Center, 113 South Third Street, Geneva, 630-232-4951 or educator@genevahistorycenter.org.
